About Me

Omaha, NE, United States
I am a drawer, painter, printmaker, art educator, children's book publishing company co-founder (www.gorillapress.com) and published illustrator. I received a B.A. in Studio Art from Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA, a M.S. in Art and Design Education from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and a M.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE. My passion for art has taken me all over the United States and to other parts of the world. I am currently a full-time artist and visual art teacher for the Westside Community Schools, a diverse public school district in Omaha, Nebraska. As an experienced artist, I would welcome opportunities for freelance and commissioned work and for sharing my art in public, corporate and private settings. Please contact me for more information about my work.

"Pulled From the Matrix" Exhibition, November 2-23, 2012

My work will be in this amazing printmaking exhibition at the Hot Shops.  It opens on Friday, November 2, and the show runs through the 23rd.  More than twenty different artists are displaying their linocuts, woodcuts, drypoint and aquatint etchings, screen prints, lithographs, three-dimensional laser prints, digital prints, and handmade books with letterpress printing (movable type), along with the matrices that were used to create them.  This show is both inspirational and educational!  It is free and open to the public.  The Hot Shops is located at 13th and Nicholas Streets, just north of the Old Market, in Omaha, NE.
